This City of Derry programme was in partnership with Balkan Alien Sound, Northern ireland Children's Enterprise and the Nerve Centre.

Funded by PCSP Moyle, Moyle Council Good Relations, Arts Council NI and Community Arts Partnership (PICAS project).

Workshops with young people took place in Ballycastle, Cushendal/Cushendun & Bushmills with a special cross community event in Ardoyne Belfast.

February/March 2015

Funded by Department of Culture Arts & Leisure (DCAL) through Coleraine Borough Council Good Relations.

45 workshops and 8 performance events took place in schools, community groups and public spaces. Included a special event for International Womens Day and St Patrick's Day.

Hosted at the Town Hall Diamond Coleraine, the event featured schools & groups performances along side professional artists. The event was funded by Coleraine, Moyle & Limavady Good Relations units through OFMDFM and the Community Relations Council.

Brazilian & Ugandan Agwara Dance

As part of the WOMAD Outreach Programme young people took part in Ugandan Agwara Dance & Brazilian Dance workshops leading up to a public performance as part of the Beat Carnival's St. Patrick's parade in Belfast 2014.

16th March Belfast - part of St Pat's Day Carnival

The St Patrick's Carnival in Belfast took place on Sunday 16th March featured some WOMAD action. In partnership with The Beat Carnival and funded through Belfast City Council, young people from John Paul Youth Club, Ardoyne & Kids Together, West Belfast through a series of workshops learned & showcase Ugandan and Brazilian Dances as part of the Carnival.

17th March Downpatrick - part of St Pat's Day Carnival

St Patrick's Primary Burrenreagh, Castlewellan, hosted the first WOMAD workshop programme of 2014. Funded by Down District Council Good Relations Unit in partnership with the Down Arts Centre, school children took part in a series of Brazilian Dance workshops leading to a performance within the St Patricks Day Carnival 17th March in Downpatrick where they were joined in the carnival by a samba band and professional Brazilian dancers.
